In 2015, ADA compliance came to the forefront when the National Association for the Deaf sued Harvard and MIT for noncompliance. Section 508 standards are currently under revision. These two facts combined mean that providers of online education should be cognizant of the law and its requirements and develop a proactive plan to address them. This presentation reviews the history and and examines the future of ADA compliance and what it means for online education.
